Editorial Obligations
For the organization of editorial work, the Germinare Scientific Journal relies on the involvement and dedication of the Editor-in-Chief, the Assistant Editor, and the Editorial Team.
- The Editor-in-Chief is the highest representative of the journal, responsible for its continuous improvement, ensuring that the published articles meet rigorous ethical and scientific standards, and for coordinating the entire editorial team and the article publication process (thematic issues, article review, dissemination, etc.). It is also responsible for publicising the journal in international scientific circuits and networks, thus promoting its visibility.
- The Assistant Editor is responsible for carrying out editorial processes so that the journal can meet its objectives and maintain its periodicity, ensuring that the editorial process adheres to the guidelines in its "Publication Ethics."
The editors are responsible for:
i) Reviewing submitted articles and approving those within the scope of the Journal for the editorial process, based on the publication guidelines;
ii) Guiding Authors and Reviewers through the editorial process and double-blind peer review;
iii) Ensuring a fair, impartial, and anonymous review process, keeping all information confidential;
iv) Organizing the reviewer list and keeping their information updated;
v) Addressing any issues related to published articles, especially concerning potential editorial misconduct;
vi) Publishing corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies, when necessary;
vii) Ensuring the maintenance of good editorial practices, deciding on the final acceptance of articles for publication based on reviewer recommendations.
- The Editorial Team consists of researchers of recognized scientific merit who assist with the journal’s policies and editorial process. They are responsible for:
i) Ensuring the journal's sustainability, including its dissemination, maintenance, and consolidation;
ii) Expanding the pool of reviewers by suggesting researchers with the technical/scientific capacity and impartiality required for article review;
iii) Supporting editors in responding to queries regarding potential editorial misconduct;
iv) Assisting editors in ensuring good editorial practices;
v) Serving as the final authority on the acceptance of submitted articles in cases of conflicting reviewer opinions;
vi) Providing input on the possible publication of thematic volumes and any issues related to the defined editorial line.
